- BFI London Review: The Brothers Quay Find Stunning Textures In Sanatorium Under the Sign of the HourglassTimothy and Stephen Quay have developed an entirely unique style in the world of stop-motion animation: vigorously kinetic yet meticulously controlled; balletic in its interweaving of aural and visual rhythms; full of the sort of trivia and esoterica that fascinated Borges and Pessoa; and given to looped sequences of pure, sensual, cinematographic abstraction. Their latest […]Oliver Weir

Dr Stangelove :On Stage
A stage adaptation of Stanley Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove might seem ambitious, especially given the iconic nature of the 1964 film, shot in black and white and featuring Peter Sellers in three unforgettable roles. Despite this challenge, the Kubrick estate has entrusted satirist Armando Iannucci (Veep, The Death of Stalin) to bring the Cold War satire to life on stage. Steve Coogan will play multiple roles, likely mirroring Sellers’ original parts, with Giles Terera joining the cast as General Buck Turgidson. Co-written and directed by Sean Foley, the production emphasizes comedy and will conclude its West End run in January 2024 before transferring to Dublin.
