BLACK WIDOW (2021)

Black Widow is the latest in the MCU franchise detailing the past of Natasha Romanoff aka The Black Widow. The film outlines her past and is a prequel as such, detailing her programming as a spy for the Red Room programme and the allies and enemies she made along the way. This movie is very character-focused, giving the viewer a look into the word of Black Widow. Compared to more recent blockbuster MCU fares (which have relied on large action set pieces, lots of characters on screen together in a great juggling act). In here, every character is related to the title hero, and there are plenty of new faces. Comic book readers will recognise most of them and they have been brought into the MCU in interesting ways. If you have been missing a slice of MCU action since Avengers Endgame, then Black Widow begins down the path of giving you that fix.
