Jamie Foxx stars as a hard-working blue collar door to door California Pool cleaner (Bud),who just wants to provide a good life his daughter, but his cleaning job is a front for his real source of income, hunting and killing vampires. When his ex-wife -tells him that financial troubles may result in his daughter and wife moving away .He is forced to re-join the 'International Union of vampire hunters' where the big stakes are, as well as risks! This is another Jamie Foxx made-for-streaming movie, that serves well as a B movie, in the vein of a mix between John Carpenter's Vampire$ (1998) and 'FrightNight' (1985). (Both movies are from an earlier era, and done better!) It is a movie that delivers exactly what you expect of it, but really no surprises. There is some world-building,as we explore Bud's universe of vampire hunting and abilities. But it doesn't really have any consequence in the scheme of things, as it just boils down to a Vampire Shoot 'em up! Outside of that. Jamie Foxx is joined by Dave Franco as trainee and union auditor (Seth),to form a Chalk and Cheese buddy team in their adventures as the vampire killing and hunting duo. Who seems serviceable enough together and Snoop Dogg make a good side cameo as 'Big John'.But its a plot you have seen 1000 times before on screen, in this well worn comedy horror genre..
