REVIEW
Death On The Nile is a 2022 Disney Plus Murder Mystery where Belgian Detective Hercule Poirot uncovers a murder during an idyllic honeymoon in Egypt.
The film opens with a brief backstory regarding Poirot during the First World War, before leading into the main story.
The landscape in which the story is set is beautiful and the characters and their costumes are all eye catching and look authentic to the era.
There’s a full ensemble cast on show here, with Kenneth Branagh as Poirot himself.
Unfortunately, there’s more of a case of style over substance here.
The plot isn’t really that memorable which is why it looks nice but doesn’t really deliver top-notch storytelling.
It’s decent, but it may not captivate the viewer's attention for the entire film, but there’s enough here for any future sequels to improve upon.
