REVIEW
I Am Mother is a post-apocalyptic story about a girl and her machine mother who reside in a bunker. Mother is trying to repopulate humanity, the girl becomes curious when a stranger from the outside encounters them, the stranger doesn’t trust Mother, and the daughter must choose who to believe, the mysterious stranger or her mechanical parent and carer.
The film is very visually pleasing and the intrigue as machine and human woman compete for the affections and trust of the daughter character are what really moves the story at an interesting pace.
It’s got all the elements of man vs machine that films like this display, told very well and very entertaining.
