REVIEW
The new marvel comic vampire movie Morbius (2022) has just hit cinemas. It is the third film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU) and is Directed by Daniel Espinosa. The main actor Jared Leto plays sickly Dr Michael Morbius, alongside his childhood friend Milo (Matt Smith) who also suffers from a rare blood disease. In essence, the film follows Michael as a long-term sufferer of a rare blood disorder experimenting with new treatments involving Bats to cure himself. What follows is a highly predictable turn of events and yet another unoriginal, flat vampire film that echoes the cliche of many previous vampire films. This movie had potential with the marvel element but sadly it fails to execute any new and fresh scriptwriting and hence it failed to captivate the viewer's focus. Endless fight scenes with little depth of character. Simply a Blade movie wannabe that went wrong. The positives were the film started okay, had some good CGI and a few suspensive moments. Perhaps the viewer can experience more of Jarred Leto’s nice jet black hair if there is a sequel, but this seems unlikely. SSU next movie, please!
