Nightmare Alley

Nightmare Alley is a 2021 film available on Disney Plus where Bradley Cooper plays a mysterious Stan Carlisle who goes from down on his luck status to joining a carnival and learning the tricks of the trade from a clairvoyant and a mentalist and using these skills to fool the rich and elite. But ultimately he is the architect of his own demise. A stunning film in which Bradley Cooper’s Stan Carlisle goes on the journey of a lifetime and it may well be his best onscreen performance yet. It’s absolutely stunning viewing and the viewer literally is engaged just to see how events unfold from one scene to the next. It’s a story that’s very uniquely told and feels very authentic in its portrayal of the period and era. It’s extremely watchable even right down to the little moments, but there is so much going on that makes it a fascinating experience and it’s well worth checking out.
