REVIEW
North Hollywood is a coming of age comedy-drama starring Ryder McLaughlin as Michael a young teenager who has dreams to skateboard but faces increasing peer and parental pressure to choose a more conservative path in the form of college or work.
It’s an enthusiastic and entertaining film that is fun and light, and the comedy is spontaneous and there are also some moments of heart in the friendships Michael experiences, and a final heart to heart chat with father Oliver played by Vince Vaughn.
Skateboarding comes second to the life lessons for the young characters to learn, and this is the film's charm.
