'Oscars'(2022)- Winners and Losers

“Did I miss anything?” quipped Oscars co-host Amy Schumer, returning to the Dolby Theatre stage after a break. “There’s a different vibe in here.”Before ‘the incident’,the events had actually proved  to be one of the more enjoyable watches as award evenings go.It was a great idea to have three Hosts for these Oscars (Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer and Regina Hall ) Highlights included acceptance speeches by  Troy Kotsur for CODA as best  Supporting role, and Jessica Chastain for Best leading Actress for The Eyes of Tammy Fayeand .

However, as Chris Rock  presented  the award for Best Documentary with jokes at the expense of stars , including one at Jada Pinket Smith.Will Smith struck the presenter and sat back down,followed by on-air vebal altercations. The mood immediately  shifted as it resumed after the break. And yet the show ,as they say goes on.” As Best actor was announced  Will Smith  made a tearful acceptance apologising to the Academy. It was afterward on twitter the Oscar Academy released a statement;

The Academy does not condone violence of any form.”

Before this, if there was any worry that the  Oscars Award show would get it’s water cooler moment come the morning. It did, but for all the wrong reasons.

As to who was right or who was wrong in the lead up to ‘the moment’, it became a mute point ,as no one came out looking good afterwards .

Film & TV Feature: The Fall of the Matrix… Out now… Richard Fontana Latest The Matrix Saga (1999-2021) SPOILERS Richard Fontana Charts the course of a saga that went from Sci-Fi Classic to something else entirely… The Matrix was a game-changer in the history of cinema. Back in 1999, it was a fresh take on action scenes, on sci-fi. It was pretty to look at, stylish….but also very smart. You have both substance and style, which is already an amazing achievement nowadays Every single scene, every choice made by the directors ; Everything is perfect. The movie has its own
