REVIEW
Raging Fire is a Donnie Yen action film where a Cop Cheung Song-Bong has to go up against his former protege who wants revenge for being put in prison by Donnie Yen’s Cop Cheung Song-Bong. It’s a basic story that’s done very well and what really sells the film is the excellent set pieces and high-octane gun fights and martial arts. It’s brutal which makes for engaging viewing without being graphic or over gratuitous. The film showcases the blurred lines between police officers and former law enforcement operatives turned bad. It also demonstrates how East Asian filmmakers always showcase this type of storytelling so well.
