REVIEW
Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon - Part One was a jumbled and unoriginal adventure: a journey to recruit a team through a galaxy that felt predictable yet illogical, featuring a group of characters with unclear backgrounds reminiscent of a not-so-impressive group of walking stock characters. Part Two of Rebel Moon continues with the story of The Scargiver. Zack Snyder shoots beautifully and delicately, but without a note of logic or self awareness. With Kora( Sofia Boutella) this time leading her band of mercenaries to protect her adopted village harvest from the arrival of the Imperium Dreadnought makes for a straightforward narrative .However with some strange indulgent slow motion crop farming scenes, and round table exposition dumps makes together with some strange world building logic, you really have to consciously switch off , so not to overthink it.
But once that is out of the way we are treated on some visually appealing combat scenes, as the village is laid siege to impeding forces. Apart from the inclusion of the underutilized robotic knight Jimmy (voiced by Anthony Hopkins), however there was little else worth mentioning about it.
Slightly improved from Part One, yet this sci-fi installment remains strange, chaotic, and lacking in humor, offering little excitement for the future of the Snyderverse.
