Restless

Restless is a 2022 French action thriller on Netflix about a corrupt cop Thomas going to extremes to cover up an accident, only for a witness who will go to ruthless lengths closes in. It’s a remake of Korean thriller A Hard Day from 2014. What really sells this film is the up the ante high stakes situations the main character finds himself in, which really ramp up the tension for the viewer. The story is completely engaging because the viewer at times has no idea what to expect next as it seems nothing is off the table which really is the appeal of the story. The film may not always be realistic at times, but it’s entertaining as the odds are often stacked against Thomas in a cat and mouse game against the witness who wants to blackmail him.
