REVIEW
Yes ,Obi-Wan has a returned, And he’s not the man he used to be! Ewan McGregor returns in the role, proving the strongest part of this series, as a broken, guilt-ridden Jedi . A figure with plenty to contemplate on ,and even retreat from , in the safety of his isolated existence.Biding his time as the role of passive watchful guardian to a young Luke on Tatoonie .But it with a young Kidnapped Leia (Vivian Lyra Blair), that finally makes him answer the call to adventure.Forcing him to dig up buried Lightsabres, and the memories of past failures, and losses, along with them.
After a some uneven performances, visuals and pacing, with episodes 1 & 2 .It is with episode 3 that Deborah Chow really earns her stripes, finally. Here we join Kenobi and a young rescued Leia escaping an Imperial Mining outpost. Vader returns in full force, and yes,is done complete justice, to fans of both the prequel and original trilogy, including a stand out vocal mix work with James Earls Jones returning as Vader’s voice. Chow seems to at last bring her 'A-game, in this mid-season confrontation. But it's not only just here that series comes into its own.The main players are given more character moments and scenes , including active antagonist Reva (Moses Ingram) thankfully with better scene handling and dialogue afforded to her saves her from repeating the same comical one note scenes we saw on show in the previous two episodes. Ewan and Vivian Lyra Blair share some good introspective character moments with each other as they evade capture. All in all it proves to be one of best Episodes out of the Star Wars Disney+ Canon firing on all cylinders by episode 3. Hopefully, it can hold the course for the rest of the series.
