REVIEW
Chapter Five — ‘The Return of the Mandalorian’ Bruce Dallas Howard delivers the best episode in The Book of Boba Fett so far. In an episode that proves to be one of the most World expansive; acting in both as a touchstone to fan favourite eras of past, present and as well as future of this universe. But like any two sides to a sword,(or DarkSabre) it both acts as a wonderful light showing us how Star Wars can grow, but also highlights how unfocused the actual rest of the series is. (A worrying fact when really none of the title characters, are in your best episode). The episode centres with the Mandalorian Din Djarin where we left him from his own series, considering his legacy and lore of his people as well as reflecting on his adoptive charge, now so far away. Mando arrives in Mos Eisley to purchase a new ship. He reunites with Amy Sedaris’ Peli Motto and her droids, and they start work on a Starfighter, ripped straight from the prequels. Gleeful sword, gun, knife fights, and high-speed chases course through this episode, with directorial choices that get every sequence pitch-perfect to the unique rhythm of the Star Wars Universe. Fennec makes a 'cameo at the end to remind us what show we are actually supposed to be watching. With only two episodes left, we are only left feeling. .. The Mandalorian Season 3 can't come fast enough!
