REVIEW
The French Dispatch on Disney Plus/Star is a 2021 film outlining a series of wonderfully surreal stories which are reported about in an edition of The French Dispatch, a newspaper with Bill Murray as editor Arthur Howitzer Jr. The first story The Concrete Masterpiece stars Benicio Del Toro as an incarcerated talented artist, the second story Revisions Of A Manifesto follows the extremes of student life and ideas in France, and finally, The Private Dining Room of The Police Commissioner follows the Kidnapping of a police commissioner son and how food plays a part in the story. It’s surreal, captivating and larger than life as usual with Wes Anderson, it’s an experience to behold. It feels like every actor under the sun makes an appearance and this film does almost have something for everyone, there’s so much happening on screen it’s easy to feel a bit overwhelmed to sum it all up, fortunately, this review makes some attempt at that for you.
