THE NIGHT HOUSE

The Night House on Disney Plus (Star) is the story of a young teacher named Beth who is coming to terms with her husband’s Owen’s suicide. The house that they own begins to appear to hold dark haunted secrets during this grieving period. It becomes more and more clear that something is trying to make contact, rather than Beth's imagination getting the better of her. Could it be her deceased husband is present? The quiet moments are what build tension in The Night House, and the mystery around the events leading up to Owen’s suicide,are engaging enough to drive the story. Ultimately the trailer does seem much scarier than the film itself, but it is a decent film overall to enjoy in front of, or behind the sofa.
