The Trip on Netflix is a Norwegian dark comedy about a married couple working in the entertainment business who decide to plan a weekend trip away together.
Secretly each of them has planned to murder the other one, but when events spiral beyond their control the strength of their marriage is really tested.
Very gory elements towards the end of the film actually add to the great storytelling early on, and the likeable characters are trying to survive and outdo one another at every opportunity.
You’ll never look at a weekend away, the same.
