In this latest Transformers instalment a subspecies of Transformer – the part-animal, part-robot Maximals defend against an invading force of Unicron, a planet-munching monster God, and denies it the access to an Warp key that would let loose Unicron across the whole Galaxy. They escape with the key to an ancient Earth to hide and protect the key ,seemingly safe.
Jump to 1990’s Earth as we Join Autobots and some Humans caught in the crossfire to join forces with the hidden Maximals against the return of Unicron and and its invading forces as it once again seeks out the Warp key and Unicron’s consumption of Earth.
The focus of the newest addition to the Transformers franchise is Anthony Ramos, portraying the role of Noah Diaz - a former soldier with a knack for electronics from Brooklyn. Despite being caught up in a whirlwind of robot-induced chaos, Ramos delivers a performance that truly resonates with audiences. The journey takes him all over the world, but he manages to remain grounded through a relatable human perspective. Joined by Elena ( Dominique Fishback ) as a young museum artefact specialist, putting the clues together to help her comrades to unlock the location of the key.
By paying subtle homage to the playful humour of the 1980s animated series, the updated version retains an element of whimsy.
The action set pieces are directed with a more coherent style and than earlier franchise entries , maybe lacking he grand spectacle of the cityscapes shots of the Michael Bay earlier series efforts , but the action lends the film a more lighter tone for a younger audience.
The newest addition to the series, Rise of the Beasts, is an enjoyable spectacle that caters to younger audiences and fans of the comical tone found in the 80’s
Cartoon. The film allows its human leads to take charge and drive the story forward, resulting in a light and uncomplicated viewing experience.
