Velvet Buzzsaw on Netflix is an intriguing tale within the art world, where Jake Gyllenhall stars as an Art critic who through contacts stumbles upon memorising artwork from an unknown artist. The artist left explicit instructions for the artwork to be destroyed following his death, And it soon becomes clear that the unholy methods to create these pieces will take their toll on anyone who encounters them. Putting the devil in Devil Wears Prada is a tad long, but what works for the movie is the mystery around the artwork. The movie feels like a blend of genres and has a B Movie horror feel layered nicely within. Most performances are good in the film bar the odd one or two.
