Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is heading for a weekend just fractionally better than our model’s Friday-morning prediction, which pegged it at somewhere between $109 million and $111 million. Disney expects it to land with $114 million as of this morning, which suggests it has some positive word of mouth, although the difference is well within a rounding error, and a slightly soft Sunday would put everything exactly back where our prediction started, with $110 million in the bank domestically by the end of the weekend.
