Weekend projections: Spider-Man finds $120.5 million in the Spider-Verse on opening weekend

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is headed for an excellent $120.5-million opening weekend, according to Sony’s Sunday-morning projection. That’s 3.4 times what Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse made when it opened back in 2018, and the second-best opening of the year behind only The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
