Agatha Harkness, the enchanting neighbour of Wanda, emerged as a standout character in Marvel’s acclaimed 2021 series WandaVision. This figure has appeared in various Marvel narratives, and now she stars in her own series, departing from the town following her conflict with Wanda as she strives to reclaim her diminished abilities.
Before anything else, she gathers a group of outcasts to tackle the challenges along Witches’ Road. Echoing the playful spirit of WandaVision, she navigates through the various personas she has embodied. The talented Kathryn Hahn is accompanied by a stellar cast featuring Aubrey Plaza and Joe Locke, known for Heartstopper. Premiering on Disney from Thursday, September 19.
Once again, we journey down the familiar path to Pizza Express in Woking, this time led by a talented ensemble featuring Ruth Wilson and Michael Sheen. It’s worth pondering if the world truly requires yet another portrayal of Emily Maitlis’s 2019 conversation with Prince Andrew. However, the story’s context is beautifully depicted in this rendition. Wilson’s portrayal of Maitlis is ambitious yet fragile, grappling with BBC standards.Sheen, on the other hand, portrays Andrew as a seemingly affable yet whiny and foolish character whose absence of ethical or functional direction has rendered him precariously adrift. The acting makes it nearly rewarding to overlook the predictability of the plot. Available on Prime Video starting Thursday, September 19.
“Bill Gates belongs to a group of reptilians alongside Tom Hanks and Lady Gaga.” In this series focused on the future of humanity, Gates confronts the unspoken issue: the impact of evolving communication technology on the mental well-being of numerous individuals. Yet, despite these challenges, Gates maintains a hopeful outlook, exploring topics like medical innovations and youth-led movements, while identifying potential solutions to seemingly insurmountable challenges.
Available on Netflix starting Wednesday, September 18.
What prompted Lyle and Erik Menendez to take the lives of their parents? The state maintained that their motive was financial gain. Conversely, the siblings claimed they endured years of mistreatment from their father, Jose. This marks the second episode of the true-crime anthology by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan; it portrays the Menendez home as an opulent cage that both pampered and oppressed the brothers.
Cooper Koch and Nicholas Alexander Chavez portray the siblings, while Chloë Sevigny and Javier Bardem undeniably shine as their fearsome parents. Available on Netflix starting Thursday, September 19.
