 Featured in Vogue: The 1990s

In Vogue follows the iconic figure of Wintour, Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue,This series intricately navigates various topics, including the rise of supermodels, Kate Moss’s groundbreaking impact, and the devastating effects of AIDS on the fashion world. While well-researched and thoughtfully organized, it lacks a bit in genuine excitement. Available on Disney starting Friday, September 13.

Emily in Paris

Emily in Paris is a popular series that follows the adventurous journey of a young American woman who relocates to the City of Lights for work. While there, she navigates the intricacies of French culture, tackles professional challenges, and experiences romantic developments, all while showcasing the vibrant Parisian lifestyle.

Paris required some distance from Emily Cooper. Now, that much-needed reprieve is underway: as part two of season four of this intentionally lighthearted series unfolds, a new possible romantic interest named Marcello, who has a weak business link to Emily’s firm, is introduced as a distraction. Thus, Emily has been sent off to Rome to blend work with leisure.

Will she allow herself to be swept up in her mysteriously luxurious existence that continues to present fresh escapades? Undoubtedly, Rome seems to boast a comparable amount of attractive charm as Paris. Could a title change for the series be on the horizon? Available on Netflix starting Thursday, September 12th.

Jack Whitehall: Parenting with My Dad

In this series, Jack Whitehall showcases his joyful clumsiness as he navigates the prospect of fatherhood by embarking on a road trip with his dad, which feels like an unavoidable journey.

Whitehall senior holds a rather traditional perspective on gender dynamics (Avoid the nitty-gritty, he suggests), yet he remains quite open-minded, investigating parenting workshops and modern gadgets to support his son. The routine is quite recognizable, but if you appreciate the Whitehall vibe, you’ll certainly enjoy it. Available on Netflix starting Tuesday, September 10.

Billionaire Island

Harsh reality … Island of the Billionaires.

Set against the backdrop of salmon Farming, this Norwegian comedy-drama from the minds behind Lilyhammer offers an unexpectedly gripping narrative. The story is filled with oddball charm and moments of harsh reality—Julie Lange stands out as the exaggeratedly cutthroat leader of a burgeoning business intent on aggressively acquiring a nearby rival.

Available on Netflix starting Thursday, September 12.

The Grand Tour: One for the Road

The allure of these travel series featuring Car enthusiasts…Clarkson, Hammond, and May is quite clear for men of a specific generation: their essence and values (epic journeys, macho rivalry, fitted denim, classic rock from the 70s) remain a steadfast anchor to their charm.

This trip marks the last adventure for the trio—will their exchanges carry a sentimental weight? Absolutely not—it’s still typical Partridge as the guys joke non-stop, exhibit minimal curiosity about where their tour is taking place (which happens to be Zimbabwe), yet place excessive importance on anything related to automobiles.
