REVIEW
Dream on Netflix is a 2023 South Korean sports comedy drama which is a follow up to 2019 it Extreme Job, and follows Yoon- Hong Dae, a Football player whom receives disciplinary action and is given the challenging opportunity to coach the South Korean national homeless football team to take part in the Homeless World Cup, and overall it’s a cosy comedy of errors affair. The film celebrates imperfection and the spirit of trying in the face of adversity, and it’s a wholesome experience because of it. It’s not a ground breaking or glorified storytelling experience, it’s more humble and focuses on camaraderie between the players and determination to not give up. It’s a lacklustre experience overall, but it’s lighthearted and joyful enough to enjoy.
