REVIEW
Project Wolf Hunting is a South Korean Sci Fi horror available to watch on Amazon Prime in the Uk at the time of this review.
It’s essentially Con Air meets evil Captain America meets Resident Evil with elements taken from each and thrown into the mix.
The story revolves around a dangerous group of criminals whom are being transported by sea back to Korea and closely guarded by cops after other methods of transport of the criminals were disrupted.
However it seems those in charge of the transportation have a surprise on board in the form of a super soldier with wolf like traits and abilities who will kill anything that moves, sort of a mix of Captain America meets Jason Vorhees.
Those who manage to survive the bloodbath chaos have to contend with monsters on multiple fronts.
This film is a gore fest and it’s certainly not for the faint hearted, it’s a bloodbath as the super soldier on board tears his way through hardened criminal and police officer alike.
The film is very well choreographed and it’s engaging to watch, it’s not fully clear why the monster is onboard or whom is pulling the strings from afar, these elements seem to give way to mindless action watching the worst in society and the cops whom are transporting them try and survive an even worse threat.
There are plenty of thrills and pulse pounding scenes, and perhaps the idea is that the viewer can stomach hardened criminals being ripped to pieces compared to innocent bystanders, but it’s still a graphic assault on the senses.
However its a very entertaining affair overall.
